I like it.

Leaning pretty heavy on a heritage that they purchased and that ended long ago...but us marketing types are shameless. Nice bike though.
I actually like that, which is saying a lot because I am not really a cruiser fan. I miss the crazy looks of the engine that is in the Chief but this one looks good as well, and man that sound.
I am disappoint. All that time watching the old dude on the wall of death, and then they aren't even selling his motorcycle.
Since when is 1100+ cc's considered mid-sized?
The main thing that I got out of that is that I want to try riding the wall of death!

This is supposed to go up against the 1200 sportster at 11K, I think they will do well with it. The oil bag "cover" on this one looks better then its big brothers.

With 100hp/72tq on a 550lb bike...as long as the reliability is there, they should be able to go after the 1200 sportster quite well.
Heck, if I end up wanting a smaller cruiser, I might take a serious look at these. Its a beautiful design.
The seating position looks about perfect. Looks like more modern tech in the engine than the Harley 1200. I'd like to see them run head to head on the drag strip.
The few ride reports say that the Indian is a lot more sporty and DD able then a Sportster with the larger tank. I am a big Sportster lover but even I can see that this thing is a better evolution of the idea.

There is absolutely no way that this can't be true.
100 hp from an 1100cc cruiser? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is fairly outstanding.
If correct, this bike would be more in line with a VMax or a V-Rod than a 1200 sporty, or virtually any other 1100-1300cc cruiser for that matter.

That is like, your opinion man.
I think the styling is killer.
It's not an Indian, but there was a bike at a local coffee shop that made me turn around and check it out.
It took me three laps walking around to see the drive shaft; guy took the first model year of a Kawasaki Drifter and relocated the hydraulic stuff to the newly installed floorboards. Painted everything satin, not gloss black. He removed the paint - clear coat and replaced it with old laquer or one part something. The leather saddle bags draped over the rear fender hid the drive shaft. He put 40s Indian tank stickers on it.
With the full valanced fenders, bigass seat, low bars, old Indian bolt on stuff; I was AGOG !!
Pretty sure it can be had for half the price of the one above that turns your head.

I don't like the fenders. Trim fenders would make the bike look better (in my opinion).
In reply to minimac: I think riding "on it" was the goal. I like riding on my bike rather than in it. I ride in my car.

The fenders are a touch big but the small swoop in the front one is probably trying to look a little like the Chief. That is relatively easy (at least the front) to swap. I think this bike with destroy a Sportie 1200 though.
Maybe I'm just totally not the market for this but I see a Japanese Harley trying to pay homage to a brand that has been dead since long before most of it's targeted audience has been alive.
It looks like a decent bike and all but if it didn't have Indian on the tank would anyone really care about it? I don't know. I just don't see it. It looks better than the sportster but I've never been a fan of that line either.
