Seems like unnecessary weight to me. But, if it can absorb vibrations from some of the jackhammer big singles it could redeem itself. Otherwise, I can see it being an annoying PITA when the cushions start to wear out.
The design is great for reducing vibrations and arm fatigue. Yeah, they weigh more than other 1 1/8". But I am much happier with the Fasst Co bars than I was with the stock bars on my Triumph.
