Due to the various women in my life pestering me, and the fact that I haven't ridden it in over a month, I've decided to sell the RC51. The only reason I'm mentioning it here is because I would sell it to a GRMer (not challenge priced) for less than I would a lay person. If I'm not supposed to post this here, please delete it.

Edit: By pestering, I mean she wants me to have something that's more two-up friendly. I'm thinking Speed Triple.

Edit #2: This is no way a beginner bike. I can't sell it to someone who doesn't already know how to ride pretty well. The bike is very unforgiving of mistakes.

How much? I have been fascinated by these machines for years.

$3500, which is a GRM only price. I'd like to think that whoever gets it will love and care for it instead of hacking it up or whatever. It has a clean title and has never been down; I don't even think it's been dropped. Everything works. Free mods, PCIII USB, and Arrow exhaust for mods. It also has frame sliders, recent tuneup, Scott's steering damper, new 520 DID EVR chain and 15/41 sprockets. Oh, and it has approx 15k miles.

Speed triple is nice! My wife on the c50 myself on my Ducati ST4 and friends 2 up on her speed triple just did 2000 mile trip to Nova Scotia in June. Great trip and the Triumph did great. They would have been on separate bikes but the morning we were leaving his Victory King Pin craped out due to bad voltage regulator.

Where is it?

Would you like a VFR800? Mine is very passenger-friendly.

Someone is going to get a beast of a bike. Those RC51s are incredible machines.

Yeah, I'm busy trying not to think about the exhaust or the gear-driven cams. Unf unf.

I have a 2009 Speed Triple. I wouldn't call it a great 2 up bike, but I guess it would be better than the RC51. I actually leave the rear cowl on mine and the rear pegs off at all times. If we go two up it's on the k1200s.

The bike sounds too good with this exhaust to switch it out every time some chick wants a ride.

The stock Speed Triple has a dual under tail exhaust too. I have the titanium arrow 3 into one on mine which would make the rear passenger much better off.

Very interested, but on the other side of the planet thankfully.

Fly and ride, lol. That would be quite the adventure, haha.

Man, $3500 for a clean & unmolested RC51 is a good price! For those of us unfamiliar with Rotardville, where's it located?

Oh, I'm near Greenville, SC.

Man, I'm going to have to own one of these, but the timing ain't right at the moment. Good luck, though. I hope you don't wind up regretting this big fleet shakeup you're going through...

It might be some advanced form of Car ADD, but selling the Corvette gives me more fun money. If I daily drive it for another year, it'll be turned into a "beater" Z06 and I'll have trouble getting anywhere close to $20k for it. I've also tried having multiple cars, but I always drive the one that's the most fun while the others sit there.

I probably should keep the RC51, though. Having taken it apart and put it back together, I can say that cockroaches, Keith Richards, and the Honda RC51 are the only things that will survive nuclear apocalypse.

Did you see last night's Top Gear US and the Speed Triple? That did not seem 2-up friendly to me!

The exhaust on my bike high mounted; it's not under the seat

I've thought about it... believe me I've thought about it... What kind of shape are the tires in? It would be an absolute crime to ride that bike all the way up here and constrain it on Alaska's relatively flat empty highways but...

They're OK, but have some age on them. I'm replacing them next season if I keep it.
