I need to shorten my brake, clutch and throttle cables now that I've taken the clubmans down even more. Creative re-routing will not work this time.
I've watched several YouTubes videos, so I've got a good idea what to do.
The main concern is the ends that thread into the grips. They are threaded. The videos show them losing the end cap and re-crimping it on the shorted end.
Can it be that easy?

I can't watch at work but yes I make my own cables. But for race bikes I just order custom ones from Speed and Sport the guys good and cost is about $4 more then the supply's to make your own.
For mine i bought dome brass fitting thingy and cut and reweld new stock cables.
Went loke a charm with plumber flux and solder as per the youtube vids.
Fitting really needs to be heaten with a torch for like 1 or 2 seconds.
Man, I tried to drill through the barrel like I'd seen in numerous Youtubes videos. It was made of kryptonite. Holy hell. So I got the bright idea to use the end of a corosponding drill bit. Magic!
