My business partner has had his bike in the warehouse for a month now, working on it in the evenings. I thought you guys might appreciate it.
It's a 74ish KZ900 with a 1000cc+ cylinder kit on it. What started out as a transmission rebuild, because it was jumping out of second, has gone a little farther than that. He's about 4K into it so far. New paint, oil pump, dual front disk set up, re-chrome, oil cooler, and other things I can't remember. For your viewing pleasure:
wow, haven't seen one in ages... nicely done
Kawasakis of that era always had nicely shaped tanks.
Well done. I would have preferred wire wheels, but that's just me.

Sweet! Lower bars and a fork brace would only make it better.
yum...
I had a 74 650 and a 78 kz750ltd loved them both.
Gorgeous bike, very clean.
Very nice! I always wanted a Z1R:
Nearly had one, too but the engine in my Mustang II blew up and I had to use the down payment money to fix the car. Dammit.

Had a Z-1B and a KZ-1000D1 (Z1-R) sold them both for my KZ-1000R1 Eddie Lawson Replica (which I have 30 years later.
Eddie Lawson Replica? Like this?
Noice. When I was buying that Z1R, the shop had a Rickman framed 650 (beautifully plated, I think it was nickel) with the same ELR paint scheme.
