Where do you folks go for motorbike insurance? I use progressive for my cars but I just learned I can't add a bike to an auto policy so my options are now open. Are there bike specific companies, like Hagarty for classics?

I use Dairyland Cycle insurance. I normally use Shelter, but the k200s is on their "do not insure list", so they underwrote it through Dairyland. Around $300 a year for full coverage on my k1200s. https://www.dairylandcycle.com/
I have used Geico (separate policy from my geico auto insurance) on my '74 CL200. $99 per year.

State Farm personally, but I would highly recommend shopping ALL of the above and seeing who can give you the best rate. Just make sure they are quoting for the same coverage. It seems that they have totally different rates for different categories, and the one that is cheaper in thsi market will be the most expensive in that market.
Progressive through USAA. Stupid Nebraska and their uninsured motorist requirement bumped it up to $310 for the year.
Allstate - Under $300 a year for a Ducati Monster and I was paying under $350 a year for my wife's CBR600. Both full coverage (same as the auto policy) with $500 deductible and no off time. Meaning I can go for a ride when we get the odd 50 degree December day.

One thing to check other than just the basic coverage is very few of them include riding apparel as part of it. I think Progressive does, but many do not. Not an issue if you're a helmetless, flip-flop wearing squid but for us ATTGATT types thats a few hundred bucks in stuff if you go down.

It's ATGATT
All the gear, all the time.
It's an acronym that gear snobs use, when criticizing, and looking down on non-elitist bike riders.

Good tip, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks.
I'm with GEICO. Just over $100 per year for minimum coverage. They were way cheaper than my regular guy for motorcycles. And how could a talking gecko steer you wrong?
I will say that State Farm does NOT cover my gear, at least in VA. Now, if I get hit, I WILL get the money from the other person's insurance. Easiest argument is that if the person responsible had hit me, and I was a pedestrian, they would replace my clothes, so I expect the same.
Looks like progressive is going to be crazy cheap for me with their multi-policy discount. $75 for a year!
