Maybe I should put the seat on and pimp it this way for awhile.
I think it looks kinda cool with the side rad. If one were to smooth out the edges of the quarter fairing and paint the rad black it could work.
I'm not a fan of the RC51's factory paint job(s). It looks much better in solid colors IMO. I think that both black and white would look great with bronze wheels.

One in decent shape will generally fetch $5k pretty easily.
Oooh I love RC51s, one bike I have yet to own. They are torque monsters, I remember the first time I rode one the tires were still coated in cosmolene and it spun that rear going out onto the road for its first mile...
Do you find the handling to be a little strange on the rc51? They just don't seem to handle as well as they "should." But damn they are fun....

I worked with a guy that had one back when they were new new. He replaced the tires in about 5k miles and put a different set on. He said the handling went from predictable to downright scary. He eventually found the original tires and the handling came back. He claimed the tires he put on where a single millimeter different in height.

That could explain the strange handling with the older bike I rode. On the brand new models test ride it was far too dangerous to get too aggressive with the throttle thanks to the cosmolene!
Oh, cool. Love the RC51. I may be getting it's little brother, the RC31, aka 650 GT Hawk:
Guy wants to trade one for my MGB project car. Looks fun. I like the naked look and was thinking of going slightly cafe or streetfighter with it...
HawkGT is a great bike. Good ones can get kind of pricey. CBR600F2 clipons slip right on. A CBR900RR shock with an eyelet bearing nut welded to the top was a cheap way to get a better shock with rear ride height adjustability. With a little work, a VFR750 rear wheel can be made to work for wider rubber and slightly better looks. IIRC, a CBR600F3 front end slid ride into the stock triple trees and was a popular way to get a better front suspension, brake, and wheel. The exhaust weighs a ton and tends to touch down fairly easy. I removed the centerstand unless I needed it. The only downside is that its hard to get much power out of them without spending big bucks.
