I keep buying stuff.

On that note, learn me where I can get the adaptor to power the PC3 with a 9v.

Great, can you please explain to me how these things work (power commander, not the engine ice)? I have been looking at used sportbikes and some of the nicer ones (fuel-injected obviously) have them already installed. Is it a complete stand-alone like Mega-squirt, or does it just modify the injector pulse slightly? It is really necessary for any fuel-injected bike with aftermarket exhaust?

It's a piggy back and mods the injector PWM. I know with 6th gen VFR's the factory tune itself is off enough that some guys get Power Commanders. Add a good air filter and filter box mods & a good exhaust and a PC is always recommended heavily.

This, for my bike they have an add on spark controller to advance/retard timing(I don't need that yet) We can usually gain a few WHP from adding a little fuel here and removing a little from there. If it weren't for the $150ish difference between selling this and grabbing a PC5, I'd probably do that.

Also, the engine ice is epic winning.

Well, I'm still superbike poor due to buying another one. Disregard the youtube video after the 2:30 mark. Its based on a 05 zx-10r, but its a turbo bike from the Kaw tuning house of Muzzy.

Well, add some more to this.....behold, infinite add ons to the PC3

Dynojet Ignition module

Plus this nifty little solenoid called a Dynojet QuickShifter

Will allow the '04 zx10r to do this......

PowerrCommanders are nice additures to regulate the fuel. Bikes from the factory are like cars from the factory, they typically run lean for emissions. Add some exhaust and better filter and you run more lean. PowerCommander isn't a stand alone.

Isn't the PC5 more regulated than the PC3?

Also, if someone is looking for a newer fuel injected bike, before you buy a PowerCommander, check to see if you can directly tune to the ECM. I bought a PC3 for my SpeedTriple, then later found out that I didn't need it. Wasted a few hundred bucks. Drawback of not having a PowerCommander, it's harder to find someone to tune it. Most tuners do PowerCommanders.

In reply to escort1991: I got all this stuff for about $200 less than a PC5. FWIW, the PC5 has a little bit more resolution to maps, and it has a built in Ignition control. The turbo bike has a PC5 running it somehow, if it still has a factory ecu, I can't find it.

I am going to install the PC3, Ignition module, and Quick Shifter then trailer the bike up to Schnitz Racing in Decatur for an ECU reflash(raises the rev limit, opens the secondary butterflies earlier, and deletes a bunch of crap that I already have bypassed. Then it'll be on the dyno for a more precise tune on with the PC3/ignition module. Plus, setting the ignition module to 60-70 millisecond interruptions above 7k rpm for the clutchless upshifts.
