Don't know their pricing but Forward Air has a container specifically designed for shipping bikes. I believe you can get pricing off their website.
Another thought would be to post (or search?) in the "GRM Assist" thread. Coming up to the holidays, chances are pretty good somebody is roadtripping that direction and could haul it for you.
Sounds like a perfect excuse to visit your sister.
