This bike is getting me soooo pumped up!
In reply to teamdixonracing: YES! Yes I was, and my wife and I enjoyed the experience very much. We were with the DTT guys.
So Duke, once I FINALLY get my bike registered over the winter we're going to have to meet up for bike pictures.
So did they just sell a E36 M3 load of bikes in '71? I've stumbled upon all of my bikes, and besides parts bikes, I've got a '71 CB750, '71 CB175, '71 Yamaha CT1, and a '71 (might be a '72) JT1. And now Duke and Joe both got some deals on some '71s.
Corey,
Since I bought my CL350 (which I'm completely in love with---- rode to work every day this week) I've been doing a bit of research. I guess they sold over 300,000 CB 350s. (including CL and SL models) I've seen several reports that was the most popular bike in American history. I'm not sure if that figure has been eclipsed yet, but thats a lotta bikes!
Also, in the early-mid seventies the gas crunch was starting. That probably migrated a lot of folks over to two wheels.
The early-mid seventies is when the baby boomers started to become old enough to ride and buy new motorcycles.
