Some of you may have heard of this, some of you may not.

There is a charity motorcycle ride to raise money for prostate cancer research called The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.

This ride was started four years ago and is now worldwide.

On Sept 27th I will be donning my most dapper outfit, throwing a leg over my vintage motorcycle and going for a ride. If there is a ride in your city, why not sign up?

We wear nice outfits to help dispel the myth about unkempt, unruly folks and motorcycles and we raise money for a good cause.

This is only open to vintage bikes and classic-styled modern bikes. Modern choppers, baggers, sportbikes, etc need not apply.

Check it out here: http://www.gentlemansride.com/

I'm hosting the ride in my hometown, Langley B.C. Canada: http://www.gentlemansride.com/rides/canada/langley

If you don't feel like signing up but want to sponsor someone, why not make it your loveable fellow forum member, me!: http://www.gentlemansride.com/rider/sdgurney

Thanks very much guys!

Wow, one of the few that I've been flat out refused for.

"DGR is simply about the niches within the motorcycle world. It is not an event for our friends on cruisers, sports bikes, motards, modern plastic scooters, dirt bikes, adventure bikes, tourers and Can-Ams."

Yes, they do that to keep the Foxtrappers of the world away.

I may try to do this provided I can find a decent tweed jacket in a thrift store between now and then. Now that I have a Bonneville I feel like I almost have to be a part of this.

Hmm I hope I'll be available for this next year. 1974 Honda CB550 should fit in nicely. Though I am the opposite of a distinguished gentleman

I feel the need to purchase an old Norton just for the purpose of this ride.
