Will there be any finishers not DQ'd for PEDs this year?

The last stage is pretty much a ride in the park since the top spot is usually locked up the day before as long as the top guy makes it to Paris in one piece. it is fun to watch the sprinters hammer it out on the champ élysées.

I think this year that Froome was just the strong guy out there and no one could topple him.

SAGAN!!!!!!

Ok, I haven't watched much of it this year. Froome does seem on a level above everyone else, but I'm a big fan of Peter Sagan just for style. I still say he might be a contender for overall one day instead of just a sprint specialist, but who knows.

I only watched the couple stages that were on regular NBC since I don't have NBCSN. I find it fascinating and it is one of the few things I would consider getting cable to watch. I don't care how drugged up they are I just like to watch them race at ludicrous speeds up the mountains. Greatest Sporting event in the world if you ask me.

In reply to HappyAndy: Maybe after 6 consecutive they will catch on to Froome. André Greipel Looks like he might also be on the PEDS, even though he had a better year last year.

Sadly, the Lance-era has made this as such a common retort when pro cycling is discussed.

Yes, Froome dominated this year, but not in the same brutal way Lance did during most of his Tours. This year he won through unconventional tactics as much as brute strength. Then held the lead through the combined strength of the Sky team. Doesn't hurt they have the largest budget of any Tour team and have "support" riders who could arguably be leaders on other teams.

Sagan is definitely a great rider and fun to watch. It'll be interesting to see what he can manage to do going back the mtn bikes for the Olympics. The Olympics should be thanking him since he'll probably be the only reason many people even watch the race. If he can manage to stay in touch with the leaders up until the end, I give him a solid chance to medal. It'll be tough since XC racing is surprisingly different than road racing.

One plus side of being up here in NH is having cable TV again (single option in my apartment and more or less comes with internet access) and the cable package has NBCSN. Which is nice as they broadcast the F1 races as well.

Don't need cable to watch the stages.

Cyclingfans.com is for watching the stages live. (French feeds are the best)

Steephill.tv has the best recap videos.

I don't get all the hoopla over Lance Armstrong. He won cause he was the better doper. Professional cycling has been a doper sport since the invention of the bicycle race. You can bet on the Tour de France. If it was unfair the bookies wouldn't take odds. You can't bet on Professional Wrestling for example because its rigged.
