I'm having a braking issue with my racecar. It's an 83 Rabbit GTI.
So I was putting new pads and rotors on it but noticed one caliper didn't seem to fit right it was just too loose. So I thought bleeding may help, it didn't change much, so I put the old calipers on for now.
I have bled and bled the system with no luck. There's only new fluid coming out now and it's definitely clean of any air bubbles that I have seen. I see no visible leaks, no bent lines, etc. The system was good at my last race in November. The pedal was always on the softer side but it was fine for sure.
Any ideas? I have a new master supposedly arriving tomorrow. Other than that I'm pretty lost. No clue what to do. I have a race this upcoming weekend so am in a mad rush to find the issue and fix it. Any input appreciated!
FYI we bled the brakes the typical way (all four wheels) with wife in the seat me at the bleeders. We bled the master. I also tried just leaving all the bleeders cracked over night.
