I was rereading the May 2019 issue and I noticed the article about using inner tubes over the handles of ratchets and such. I have been using replacement golf club grips on my ratchets and other tools for some time. The are somewhat cushiony and don’t slip in your hand. They are cheap and last basically forever. I have never replaced one.

Also a good idea!

My bil plays a lot of golf and replaces grips with some regularity. I'll snag his old ones.
