I need to weld some brackets on the chassis of the "problem child" '92 Jeep.
Anything I should do to protect the onboard elctronics? I was just going to disconnect the battery...

Maybe unplug the ECU after disconnecting the battery?
No matter what else you do keep the ground as close the the weld area as possible.
Keep ground near what you are welding and actually ON the part you are welding. Never had an issue.
