Getting prepped for the trip. More to come.

I always wanted a 6.9

Man I hope so! The deck is 36’ and a little can hang off the end if needed.
I’m more worried about loading the one with collapsed suspension. I’m bringing 10’ of ramps to help with the angle, also some hydraulic fluid to attempt to get it to pump up, and a jack and some wood blocks if all else fails.
I'm coming prepared. I’ve hauled some real E36 M3 over the years, so will not leave empty handed!
In reply to Cotton :
Does the one with collapsed suspension run? These cars are like 17 feet long each with euro bumpers lol.
I know you'll be coming back with two in tow no matter what. You have to lol.

Yeah, they both run and drive. The collapsed suspension one apparently pumped up last year, but you know how that goes. I have a trailer winch just in case. Someone cut the converters off while they were in storage, so it will be interesting to see what a pair of basically straight piped 6.9s sound like.

I bet some fluid and letting it idle for a bit will get it pumped up. what fluid did you bring? The old pumps don't like anything outside of Mercedes stuff. The s600 broke my trailer winch while loading it the first time
They will sound terrible and loud ha! I'm glad you finally found yourself a 6.9 plus 1. You've been looking for about 2 years.

I have that Pentosin I use on the w140 and the v12s. You think that will work?
It has been a long search for a 6.9. I’m hoping to make one good one out of the pair with parts left over.
Did not see the 6.3. Send me the link...I want one of those next!

I'll have to look again. There was no pics when i saw the ad on peachparts.
Well I guess I got ahead of myself. The seller wants to wait until Sunday the 14th now, so it will be a bit longer before I pick these up.

leaving sad.
Yeah, disappointing on my end too. Last weekend worked great for me, but this coming weekend not so much. I have work travel this week and next week, so am even thinking about just having them shipped. That takes the adventure out of it, but is the easy button.

Love your truck. Always wanted a dually.
It’s a beast. It’s my 6th dually and by far the best. I went down to a 3/4 ton one time, but sold it and went right back to a dually..... just really enjoy the stability. I have a Warn Powerplant winch on the front with a built in air compressor and I use that thing all the time. It’s probably the best mod I have done to the truck.

A M-B specialist I know has had cars drive into the shop with wooden blocks propping up the collapsed suspension.
Well, I ended up hitting the easy button and am just having the cars shipped. My work schedule is hectic right now, so shipping is just the quickest way to get them to me. I wired the money today and they are scheduled to be picked up Wednesday and arrive either Thursday or Friday.
I’m anxious to get my hands on them, grab a buddy, and have a drag race to see which 6.9 is king (of my garage).
The shipper picked them up this morning and will hopefully deliver tomorrow. The green one is the roughest out of the two, so the seller sold it to me as a parts car, but it does have a title and run and drive. The grey one is supposed to be in decent shape, but will need cosmetics. Both slightly over 100k miles. Of course, this is part of the excitement of buying sight unseen....you never know what you really bought until they show up!
Here is a better shot of the green one. Step one will be checking out that suspension since it’s obviously riding low.
