Project life is starting to wear on me. When I was younger, I had plenty of local Car Guys to hang out with and help out on their projects, which invigorated me to do more work on my own. Most everyone I know is now either out of cars, or out of the area. I need to find more semi-locals with interesting/offbeat/asinine ideas.
Anyone in the area feel the same way?
I’m in Lockport. I work all the time. I’m getting old too.

Not entirely sure, TBH. Ideally, I would like to get back to seeing/helping a bit on friends' projects again, just to get my Mojo back. But any sort of automotive interaction would be good right about now.
(As a coincidence, one of my vehicular hoardes is actually in Lockport, believe it or not)
I'm out here in Aurora and we have a garage night on Thursday if ya get bored.
Usually working on my XR4Ti that's had a wee bit of work done to it.

My brother in law lives in Lockport so I'm over there quite a bit too.
We’re in the middle of putting a louver in the hood of my XR4Ti. We got it all cut last night, now just need to actually mount the louver to the hood.

I don't think so this year. The Saab truck is quite close to ready though so I might be able to do a test and tune event. And invite everyone to come drive.
Of course people are always invited to come wrench, however.

With the help of SWMBO and a buddy we got the louver installed on the hood and back on the car. I’m now waiting on some Wilwood 6 piston calipers and the mounting hardware to arrive.

Sounds good to me, I'm also part of ChiVinMoto and they do a rotating garage night. Granted, based on some of the distances involved here, a weekend might work best. BTW: ChiVinMoto is Chicago Vintage Motorcycles, not that I own any vintage bikes anymore.
I'm on ChiVinMoto, but too far for most garage nights.

Yeah, Chivinmoto huh? I don't use Facebook much.
However, I think I'll be spending a few hours one day this weekend doing the final prep on the Saab truck for the challenge. Install a sweet boost gauge, paint the wheels, do an alignment, fun stuff like that.
Who's interested? I'll buy beer.

The Missus has a book club to go to so I’ll head out after she leaves.
