Robbinsville/Tail of the Dragon 8/27/2020

The Mofamily will be in Sieverville, TN next week with a day trip to The Tail of The Dragon for a chance at a Killboy shot with Serenity. 

Anyone else going to be in the area?

I usually make it down that way in the winter once every 3 or so years. Hove not yet been to tail of the dragon..

Will make it a priority some day.. Maybe even soon with friends and a Summer car.

After getting here to Pigeon Forge I think that it would be senseless going to Robbinsville. The drive up to the cabin is a fun switchback run for about six miles and apparently this is a very Jeepish destination. We decided to stay local and enjoy the Smokies. 

Made the trip anyway. 

With the Jeep twice.

And an Exocet.

My wife's from Haywood County. Waynesville, Maggie Valley, etc. We lived there for a year, and still have family there.

I've never felt like going to tail of the dragon. Anywhere you go in Western NC or Eastern TN you're going to find fun roads, and probably less traffic/fewer tourist idiots.

With all that is going on you would be surprised how clear the roads are. 

On Monday I drove the entire Foothills Parkway and RT129 to the Deals Gap Motorcycle Lodge without having a car or bike in front of me. On Wednesday I pulled over for a few bikes but no one slowed me down in either direction. 

It's a great time to drive it.
