Is there a new spot feed for today? I'm only seeing locations from yesterday.

Tomorrow morning we are repairing the turn signals and passenger side mirror and hitting the road.
Top speed is 60, down hill. It doesn't drive horrible, but I'm worried about the mountains. It is going to be a slow climb.
Seems the blinkers are working now but no word yet of hitting the road.
We are at the auto parts store getting hoses and belts we are changing the 1 v belt on it then checking the tranny fluid and hitting the road.
Transmission serviced. Everything greased. Fixing to hit the road.
Oh cool, suicide door FTW! This keeps getting better.
Are some of the stains on the ground not from the bus?
Is the van making a round trip, or was it a one way Rental?
The intention was for a one way rental. I have heard no deviation from that plan.
Alright we are back on the road! The current plan is to pull a long day today to get back on schedule.

One way rental on the car.
Slow and steady, don't pull a ramp truck speed trial maneuver. Save that for AFTER you get home.
I like to imagine that as you drive through Chicago the overpass bridges will be lined with adoring fans there to wave you on!
Like a partially modern version of this.
The bus part not modernized.

I think slow & steady is all they have . A top speed run would be like Costanza's mobility scooter chase scene on Seinfeld.

Holding my breath till you are past the evil empire of Illinois. At least the Chicago part of it.
The lines on that bus are just awesome. No matter what I do to my Motovan, it can never be that cool.
Well, they appear to have ignored the gravitational pull of the Mars Cheese Castle.
Ten exits down. If you zoom the map out, they've made visible progress on the route already!

Blown oil pressure gage line, dumped all the oil out the engine, stopped. We are repairing. Actually broke the copper fitting.
In reply to Son_Of_Toyman:
Ouch. Hope you caught it in time.
Should we blame the Cheese Castle's mysterious attraction for this failure?

At least you know you have good oil pressure? Good luck on getting it fixed or bypassed.

Currently at exit ramp off I-94 in WI about 5 miles north of IL border.
Near Kenosha Regioal Airport
Old co-worker had a similar year Ford bus back in around '79. Multi-colored (not Partridge-like) from part scavenging, two-speed dump truck rear end and some kinda engine swap. He was the real junk yard dog type but hoity-toity co-workers were a little too harsh on him, they called it Salvage 1 after that TV show of the day. Had water storage, bunks and a pot belly stove w/ stove pipe up through the roof. I thought it was kinda cool.
If the Cheese Gods must be appeased, you are across the street from. http://www.timandtomscheeses.com/htm/store_info.html.
Open till 6pm. Wisconsin cheese curds are $7.50 per pound.
