After consuming steaks and beers in Atlanta with Les Burchett, and acquiring another project too, I am almost to the Florida State Line
There may or may not have been non hetero extramarital shenanigans in their one-bed room last night. Do not underestimate the power of floods to bring out storm chasing contractors and their ability to control hotels in the entirety of the center of SC. I had to share a double bed with my kid, he poked me in the eye at 3am. Finishing the drive on low sleep and hotel coffee, we're hitting the road in 10 to most likely not catch up with john and his now closer than ever driving partner. My hotel's interwebs were overwhelmed last night so for now my travel pics including challenge car carnage when tire shelf let go above it are stuck on Twitter
Now south of Columbia.
The Q45 just passed Andrews LS400 (likely the only time ever) but the LS400 is on a trailer.
Eta of 1:00 to Jax where we will bask in the glow of the Mark VIII.
In true Aristocrats fashion I have notnot driven a single mile of this trip. My hired driver, Jonathan has handled those duties.
As for the sleeping arrangements, I was the big spoon.
Slippery wrote: John, I'll see you at the Challenge ... will be arriving around midnight Friday.
Do you really intend to arrive Friday midnight or might you mean today, Thursday midnight?
The real racing happens on Friday with concourse and banquet Saturday.
Friday midnight strikes me as an odd time to arrive.
Also, The Aristocrats specific awards and more importantly, the titles bestowed.
The Earl of Autocross
The Duke of Drags
The Count of Concourse
The Baron of Berkeley.

A slow motion kind of morning no matter how hard we tried which means off to a late start. Jonathan drove the Lincoln back to Jeremy in Jax while I followed in the Q45.
Blackened Grouper for lunch in Jax.
Shooting for VA tonight then WV and Ohio tomorrow. Any hotel recommendations off I77?
Great event.
I figure that I am the highest placing finisher at stock ride height.
1st in class, 10th overall.
The Beige Brigade
Terrific showing. If you decide to unload it, let me know. I want a Barge to play with. I tried to talk Andrew out of his, but I don't think that is happening.
