A friend's Lemons teammates did it with some whacky V6 swapped Bug. He posted a bunch of pics on FB. He would have been with them had he not broke his hip and elbow at a DH race last Fall.
The V6 Bug has been around since last year, raced with them at NJMP and watched it plow up a wall. It has since been repaired and is absofreakinglutely awesome. Can't believe they did the whole route in it. Great bunch of guys.
I'm sure there will be much better narratives, so I'll just throw up some pics and small descriptions.
View from the office on the way to the start in PA:
Hit Centralia on the way up, it always looked cool in pics and I wanted to see it in person. Unfortunately it started snowing pretty hard by the time we got there so we just rode around a little and snapped a few pics.
Crazy that this street
Used to look like this
I'm sure the hotel management appreciated the quality of cars in the lot. We watched as one car from Quebec pulled up to the lot, stopped, pulled slowly into a space, looked around for a few moments, then backed out and left...

The roadkill instagram posted a bunch of photos of that.
Collection of crappy cars at the start
Regular car reviews guy from youtube was there. I tried watching his video but it was mostly rambling and slow mo parking lot video, so I gave up.
The first day they sent us all the way to Buffalo! It snowed, of course, and the truck's heat was barely able to keep up with all the drafts coming in. But we did pass this cool old Ford dealer with a neon sign so I couldn't resist a photo op.
Scoring was done via taking a picture of your mascot (in our case a ceramic slimer-looking guy) with the checkpoint and posting it on their facebook page. Here's our first one at some brewing company in Buffalo.
