38 hours in a crap-can racer sounds masochistic. Where do I sign up?
The ChumpCar World Series is filled with all kinds of strange hybrids.
The ChumpCar World Series is no stranger to wacky races. With a goal set to host a continuous 38-hour race, the original plan was to hold it over the New Year at Homestead Miami Speedway. However, after being notified that the track could no longer accommodate an overnight event, the event was moved to Palm Beach International Raceway. The event is still planned to start on December 31.

i think they did a 36 hour one last year to get the record for longest endurance race on a closed course, then someone else did a 37 hour one.... now they are doing a 38 hour one..
I'm hoping to have a liver by then and to obtain medical clearance to travel down to spectate. It's a long shot that I'm able to, but a 38 hour grind in extreme budget entries will be a spectacular struggle and triumph to witness.
