Can you build a race car the night before the event? | Your $2000 Challenge Cars

For $1800, forum user pimpm3 bought this 2006 Honda Civic with the ambition of taking it to rallycross events. That plan is still in the works, but pimpm3 figures, “before I ruin it jumping over things at the FIRM I could race it at the challenge.”

Solid plan in our book.

At this point, you might be asking yourself what exactly the parking lot build is?

For some reason, some of our returning $2000 Challenge participants insist on entering a car that is put together and prepared the night before the event, with all of the work taking place in the host hotel parking lot.

Even though this entry isn't known for podium finishes, it has, for some reason, become a mainstay of the Challenge.

Have something to contribute, or just want to follow along with the chaos? Check out the build thread here.

There is still time to enter your low-buck machine into the $2000 Challenge. Visit 2000challenge.com to enter.
