Different bike this time, though, as I'm bringing my bike from back in the day. It needed some work, though, so it got a build thread.

Still can't travel back in time to the '80s and '90s because that time machine isn't working?
Lucky for you, there’s always this weekend’s Radwood event at the Lake Mirror Classic Concours & Car Show in Lakeland, Florida–and we’ll be there, too.
The concours weekend takes place October 14-16 with Radwood taking place Friday evening. (Hey, free for spectators.)
Just look for our editor director, David S. Wallens, and our 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera project car on Friday and relive the most bodacious automotive era.
Visit lakemirrorcarshow.com for full details.

Shouldn't the bike be on the passenger side to offset weight ? Not that there's too much on the driver's side.
In reply to 300zxfreak :
The bike only weighs like 24 pounds. Plus, more imporantly, it looks cooler on the driver side. :)
See y'all on Friday.
Bike build thread.
And just got my load-in instructions for Friday:
4:00 PM: Show Cars begin arriving, load-in between 4:00 - 5:00 PM
5:30 PM: Gates are closed to show cars
6:00 PM: Lake Mirror is open to spectators
9:00 PM: show ends promptly and field begins clearing
All cars are to stay parked and in place until 9 PM due to safety and security concerns.
Approximate address: 524 E Orange St, Lakeland, FL 33801
(The show is on the shores of Lake Mirror.)
I had the bike all ready to go–and then I took is apart so it would fit in the car. (Sorry, not up for a hundred miles wondering if everything on a 40-year-old bike is tight enough.)
It's in there better than it looks.
One thing I've been thinking about for the day: tunes.
Hire a band?
Okay, how about buy a vintage boombox?
Tempting, but then what do I do with it the other 36x days of the year?
So how about this:
Bluetooth speaker that we already had + battery backup from a Mazda press event + Vans fanny pack that was a holiday president from my sister-in-law. I can leave it on the front seat. Easy.
And we have a playlist that's appropriate for 1984.
