Ever seen a V8-powered, front-wheel-drive Eagle Talon run a nine-second quarter-mile?
That bright-green machine is the latest creation to come from the Nelson family, who have made a name for themselves by bringing some of the fastest and most innovative cars to the $2000 Challenge presented by CRC Industries and eBay Motors, which returns to Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida, October 22-23, 2021.
The team informed us that the car is pretty much sorted, though some final tweaks are needed to make it fully prepared for the Challenge, like a less expensive ECU to bring the car back within budget, as well as a smaller turbo to reduce spool time and some John Deere Hy-Gard transmission fluid for smoother shifts.
