I dont think I am faster than him, likely never will be
But, good gosh, I hope MANY people are. He always seemed so danged smug on the Top Gear, very unlikable.

If you’ve been looking for a chance to compete against a pro driver, this is it.
Pro racer, stunt driver and do-it-all hot shoe Tanner Foust will compete in our annual no-holds-barred track competition, the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge Presented by Grassroots Motorsports. His weapon of choice? A 2022 Volkswagen Golf R.
Foust’s record includes three U.S. rallycross championships, four X Games gold medals and two Formula Drift championships, but will all that be enough to help him take the top spot in the UTCC?
Think you’re faster than Tanner Foust? Enter your car here today.
The 2022 UTCC returns to Virginia International Raceway May 13-14 in the center of NASA’s HyperFest weekend.
The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Grassroots Motorsports in association with Wilwood Engineering, CRC Industries, DeatschWerks, HP Tuners, SPA Technique and Volkswagen, with trophies from BimmerWorld, XS Power Batteries, The Sensor Connection, Track Advantage, Stifflers and Hoosier Tire.

Haven't seen the show but I can say that he is a very good dude. He came out to a little track day I did and rode along with any and everyone who asked him to.
glad to see he is headed out there!

My kid and I met him at Mid Ohio both times the now defunct American Rally Cross series where there and he was very nice, took time to talk with the kids. He seemed like a nice guy.

One of the guys I used to see at track days worked with Foust and said he is a good guy. He also said Foust is constantly working and has a crazy schedule.
I am definitely faster. In fact, I'd wager $10 that I could beat him in his own car at the event. #gauntletthrown.
I forgot to add I've raced againts a pro driver (Alex Gurney) and got spanked (he was 1/2 second a lap faster in showroom stock cars). Of course I could add to my resume of drivers I got spanked by.
Maybe it's just his on-tv persona
If I have read the guy wrong, then I apologize ,but on the show he just seemed stuck up and smug. This is also compared to two guys who are quite goofy and always joking around, so that might skew things too
I've always heard positive things. Keep in mind that anybody on TV is playing a character. I suspect TGA was purposely trying to recreate the Clarkson/Hammond/May dynamic.
