The SCCA Time Trials National Tour returns to Carolina Motorsports Park May 22-24. Here’s a chance to trade the sofa for an apex. Perhaps a better analogy: Think of it as non-sim, sim racing

The Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty offers a competition setting that’s designed to be more accessible, engaging and inclusive.

The Big Question: What about social distancing? The SCCA has published event guidelines that deal with today’s COVID-19 pandemic.

From the SCCA: “This interim guidance is provided to SCCA Regions preparing to resume event activities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 between participants. SCCA supports taking a pro-active role to employ behaviors and protocols as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) along with Federal and state guidelines that helps protect the health of those attending events. Regions may incorporate additional measures based on local mandates and recommendations.”

Protocols have been published for the different SCCA programs–Solo and Rally, Track Events and Time Trials, and Road Race–that cover all aspects of an event, from driver meetings and tech inspection to worker protocols and trophy presentation.

Carolina Motorsports Park is located in Kershaw, South Carolina, and the driver entry fee for SCCA members is $250. Check the event page for full details.
