Just because it’s the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge doesn’t mean it’s only limited to cars. Case in point: Wreckless Abandon Racing showed up to compete in the 2011 event with ‘64 Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck.

Sure, it may have been pretty far some stock–power came from a stroked V8 from an Escalade, for starters–but it’s still one of the most unique vehicles to ever compete in the UTCC.

We detailed the story of this C-10 racing truck back in the May 2012 issue of Grassroots Motorsports, which you can read now by getting GRM+ today.

Besides having unlimited access to past and present digital editions of the magazine, GRM+ members also get exclusive deals, a highlighted avatar with "GRM+ Member" added to their forum posts, exclusive access to online articles and fewer advertisements on the website.
