Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze be an MX-5 coupe!
Mazda is going to show off something special this evening—so special they want the rest of the world to watch.
So, what is it?
A new minivan?
The return of the rotary?
Something cool involving the MX-5?
Your guess is as good as ours.
We’ll be there in person to watch. For the rest of the world, keep an eye on this link
The New York International Auto Show kicks off tomorrow. Watch our site and social media for updates and photos.
If we're going to dream (and that's probably all it is) I vote for an updated RX-8 with the 2.5 Turbo. As much as I like Mazda's car-based SUVs, I think that three is enough.
If it is just a removable hardtop for the Miata, I will be disappointed. Even a retractable hardtop is going to get a big "Meh" after all the hoopla. But I bet that is what it is.

If it's Flock of Seagulls, I'll be able to confidently say that I just ran...I ran so far away.
As I said in the other thread, I'm hoping against hope that it'll be a Mazdaspeed6 wagon.
If it's just the PRHT, I'm going to be very grumpy. If you want people to be excited in the future, don't get them excited and then show them something they're expecting.
The fun part of Christmas isn't the presents, it's getting a present you weren't expecting.

Dammit, I got what I wanted!
