What's better than getting a project car with a lot of problems? How about getting a project car with problems for mostly free?

If that sounds like a good time to you, then you just might be forum user orthoxstice, who acquired a 1967 Volvo 122S Automatic in exchange for some work. According to orthoxstice, the Volvo is "a probably running car, but with plenty of question marks."

The 122S had changed hands a few times in its known history, but more recently sat in a field for a number of years.

A quick inspection of the car showed at least a few problems, namely a trash-filled interior and a couple of chewed-through wires in the engine bay.

Follow along with orthoxstice to find out just how much has gone wrong with this 122S over on the Builds and Projects Cars Forum, and what it's going to take to get this Volvo back in running order.

Besides, how bad could it be when it was mostly free?
