One possible advantage of going to an evening event during light rain? You might get lucky and receive some good light for sunset photos.
As we arrived at Ace Cafe Orlando last night, so did the rain. Just a light drizzle.
Should we stay or should we go?
Well, we already had an hour invested in the trip–plus the time spent cleaning up our E46-chassis BMW M3–so we waited.

The rain petered off, and we got some decent light for some decent photos.
Perhaps the evening’s biggest news: Our air conditioning blew cold both ways, so that’s another successful two-hour test in the books.

Is an E36 wagon cooler than an E46 M3? Oddly, last night there were two E36 wagons and just one E46 M3 coupe....

Different kind of cool. E36 wagon probably better C&C car, but I'd take the E46 M3 on the track.
How about an E36 wagon with an S54 swap?

What I really, really want is an e46 wagon with an S54. I've had two e46 wagons and really miss my silver one!

I had a chance to buy the perfect E46 wagon several years ago and didn't. I know, bad move, but I think we had just bought something (also cool).
Just up the road from you. Says trades welcomed...

My parents have had both E36 and E46 BMWs. My dad raised a good point: The E46 interior is nicer.

Agreed. It's also a much more modern car - in a good way. The e36 is neat but looks very dated to me now.

And that's part of the conundrum, too. The E46 interior is pretty perfect.
I have a bit of stick time in an E36. When the E46 came out, it did raise the bar.
