After selling the Mazda 6, and buying the StreetKA, we still needed a winter beater. I set my search agents, and looked around the whole summer, but nothing met my pricepoint/condition. Then this showed up - 210.000km, 16 years old - what can go wrong. Ran fine on the test drive, A/C blew cold, no visible rust - Deal done. In Austria the taxes are calculated per HP. From 170 upwards it gets quite expensive. This car had 217, and taxes per year were around 1200 Euros. I kept it for nearly 2 years, and enjoyed most of the time in it. Still the fastest car I’ve ever driven, an indicated 255 km/h on the german Autobahn. In 2018 some rust started to show, and I had the opportunity to get a reliable Daily for cheap, so it got sold.
