Rear Suspension Modification

update image

I came up with what I think is a great idea to deal with the weak old rear leaf spring while lowering the ride height. I picked up a new 1750# trailer spring at princess auto for cheap, installed the longest leaf and checke the fit and ride height and ran with it installed for the MOSPORT event. One night last week I pulled the leaf out, had a spring shop reduce the arch 1-1/2” then re-installed it so it’s more like a helper spring. That with the 1” lowering block has my ride height camber and stiffness are just about right. Next year I’ll adjust the mount point of the rear A-Arms to zero it in even better….
