Aug 19, 2014 update on kylini's 1999 Mazda Miata

Five months of slow progress

Between the end of March and August, I very slowly removed my car’s interior and vacuumed out the fire extinguisher dust and got to ordering parts from BTDT Racing in Wisconsin. First was rewiring the car. I opted to replace the harness since I didn’t trust a spliced battery cable solution. I did this job twice, sadly: I mistakenly wired it up from rear to front only to discover that a fuse box doesn’t fit through the transmission tunnel! Second was the control arm, which was much faster. It only took about 4 hours of total labor to have my car running again, but it was a very long and discouraging process.
