Well, since my car is already somewhat crunchy, it can’t hurt to go off-roading now that autocross is over for the year! The only preparation I did was scour Craigslist for softer, longer springs (I found some 10 in 300 lb/in for the rear), jack the ride height all around, and break the hardtop out of storage. Even with 9 in wide summer tires on a 40 degree day, I still snagged 15th out of 47 drivers! Not bad for a first attempt in this car! It was certainly the most fun I’ve had to date.
