How to prepare an early Mustang rear end for track use | Video

The factory 8-inch rear end that comes on '60s Mustangs might be suitable for the street, but our Mustang vintage race car needed something beefier for track use–so we opted for a built, 9-inch-style rear end from Spraker Racing Enterprises.

In addition to the rear end, we added a few more upgrades to the car including traction bars, shock mounts, bushings and 11-inch rear drum brakes.
