If you have mites it's probably a good idea.

I don't have a clue. IF I were to use it, I would have no "lawn" or garden.

My mother in law swears by it....all I know is that she is loaded with flowers and not much in the way of weed and bugs. My understanding is that it's a powder you sprinkle in your flower beds.

We used it when planting flower beds when I worked landscaping. It definitely limits the amount of weeds, but it doesn't last forever. It's basically a pre-emergent that keeps seeds from sprouting, but it won't kill existing plants. If you are planting seedlings or container plants, use it. If you are planting seeds it's obviously a bad idea.

skunks and bears both will dig them up ... but that's usually after they've gotten me

they'll even dig them up after I've poured gasoline down their entrance and thrown a burning wad of paper at it

I've used it when I lived in the northeast. It seemed to work pretty well, though I usually put it down then dropped a boat load of mulch over it so it might have been the mulch. It gets expensive if you are doing an entire yard at 10 or 12 bucks a quart.

I don't use it any more if it's outside of the garden or not right up against the house, all that stuff gets the weed torch or "the flamethrower" as my wife calls it.

There are different formulations of it if you want to use it with flowers or vegetables.

Wife has used it in her flower beds for several years and says it does a good job.

It works very well if used correctly.
