Hi everybody,

I'd love to throw some of your testimonials up on the $2000 Challenge Website. Doesn't matter if you're a driver, builder, spectator, etc. If you've been to the $2000 Challenge and have a quote or two you wouldn't mind us sharing, feel free to post it below.

Thanks!

Quote, or testimonial?

There was an old thread called "Overheard at the Challenge" IIRC. Had some great quotes.

In reply to SV reX :

Why not both? And good point--I remember that thread. I'll see what I can find there.

Thanks!

Before I found our Lord the Challenge I was a lost soul going to spend my eternity trying to dodge Mustangs leaving Cars & Coffee. Now that I am saved I'm looking forward to my afterlife in the halls of overflowing 10mm sockets.

This one is one of my favorite testimonials:

My son’s testimonial

Yep. I am absolutely, completely, unashamedly biased. But it also got 57 thumbs ups, so I guess other folks appreciated it too.

Before sending my car to the challenge, Amy wouldn't even talk to me.

Cold beer & Racecars... You're almost certainly overthinking it

Very few places have I somehow been friends with everyone out of the gate.

The people that sit home and think they can show up and dominate but never try are doing themselves the biggest disservice. The overarching sense of family between challengers is the biggest part. Whether you go once or every year the challenge family is there for you. It's more than a car event, it's a family reunion.

to follow up on Patrick's comment, there is so much to learn from attending the Challenge and talking to the Challengers.  how to interpret and apply rules, how to make stuff, how to find bargains, etc.

many years ago, my one-sentence summary of the Challenge was "it's like a class reunion where only your best friends show up."
