Yes it's mine, yes I will probably regret selling it, but here it is.
I would like to get $750 for it.
All the apex seals on the rear rotor are broken so plan on a engine swap. It is a 12a car.
The keys are gone. No clue where they are. The ignition is a push button and a toggle switch. I haven't locked it it years.
This is an auto car, but does come with a pedal cluster and console for a 5 speed swap. If you want to stay with a rotary, a 5 speed transmission is available for an additional $300.
Comes with factory "plus" wheels, a set of 13" Momo looking mesh wheels with worn Sumitomos, and a set of Marsh Racing steel 13X8s with dried out Hoosiers.
The car has a Racing Beat front bar, Racing Beat headers, and Tokico adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. The springs have been shortened a coil.
Clear title in my name.
Marsh wheels.
I don't have pictures of the other wheels or items yet. I will try to get them over the next week and post if needed.
Edit: It does NOT come with the Mustang wheels pictured on it. I will throw in the wobble bolts for mounting them, but not the wheels. They don't technically belong to me.
FYI, the Email GRM has for me is obsolete. Send email to toy man zero one five four at g mail dot com. No spaces and use the numbers.
Would you like me to update your GRM e-mail Toyman?
In reply to EastCoastMojo:
That would be great if you could ECM.
Thanks!
Done and I sent you a PM to test it out. Good luck with the sale!
ECM, it worked like a charm, thanks again.
Allen.
Now that's service!
Pardon my ignorance, but are apex seals replaceable on these engines?
Yes. However, when apex seals break (not necessarily the failure in this case), they can damage other internal parts.
A rebuild for this engine (if the parts are available) is between $500.00 (if yo do it yourself) up to $1500.00 for somebody else to do it.
A used good condition engine can be found anywhere from $200.00 to $1000.00.
Does this car have an LSD rear and or rear disc brakes?
Thanks!
Rob R.
Thank you for the clarification Rob- I appreciate it!
Yes, it has a LSD and rear disks.
I am assuming the rear rotor, and rotor housing are trashed and would need to be replaced. I have not torn down the engine. I pulled the headers and stuck a bore scope in the exhaust port. All three apex seals on the rear rotor are broken in the center of the seal. Best guess is it ate a piece of carbon and damaged the housing. I was planning an engine swap to a turbo V6, but have lost interest in the project.
Bump for the after holiday crowd.
Bump again for the day crowd.
This is pretty awesome, idk why noones snagged It yet... dont alot of you guys have spare 13bs around?
I do. I also have a spare 12a laying around.
I also have 2 other RX7 projects in my garage right now.
That's my excuse, whats yours?
Rob R.
Too far away for me. I have a spare 13b drivetrain and the mount needed to put it in an FB chassis.
Just bought wife a car, no garage, and no money :) lol.
I want a 7 though...real bad
I still got it. I hate to dump it on Craig's List because the idiots will crawl out of the woodwork. Somebody buy it before I stick it back in the barn for another 10 years. Make me an offer. I might laugh, but I won't be offended.
If I send a deposit, would you be willing to sit on it until the week of July 14th?
I'm going to bump this one more time and then deal with the idiots on Craigslist.
Make me an offer. I want it gone.
FWIW, if I didn't say it before, this is the perfect base for a SRX7 or IT7 car.
