I don't know much about Fiat values so I don't know if this is a good deal for a 124 that needs a little work, but it looks like it could be a cheap path to fun.

It sounds like he was able to drive it home, so that's a plus!

I had a Weber carb that did what he described, a rebuild mostly took care of it. That is if it has a Weber on it.

I seem to remember something about the hood having two humps as being desirable...

Not sure about there but where I'm at that's a $1000 to $1500 car at most. Would have to get under the car to check if there is more rust not mentioned. If there is then price drops to under a grand.
