I know this is over $2011 but it looks to be a pretty good deal! (not mine, no affiliation, etc...)
The gainesville CL is one of 3 I look at everyday, yet somehow I missed this car. I must have thought that since it was too good to be true, that it was bogus?

Unless the person who is overseas is deceased this person DOES NOT have power of attorney to sign the title. You may end up buying a car that, even with a signed title, is not legally yours.

Why not? That doesn't sound right at all.
If the person is deceased, then the power of attorney is no good. The ownership of the vehicle would have transferred to the heirs when the person died, and authority to transfer title would have to come from them. How can you have a power of attorney for someone who is deceased?
The entire point of a power of attorney is exactly this type of situation.
Would make a bad little drift car eh? Something tells me that so and so is in the military, wants the car sold, and the seller has NO CLUE what it is.

That's not true at all. Power of Attorney applies in many situations. I handled the closing on my sister's condo using Power of Attorney, and both of us are conspicuously alive.
