NMNA, wish I had the money for it.

Fixed.
Also, Evan makes me almost take a lot of trips to Columbus with these Craigslist finds.
Ok; this one has stuck in my mind and I am feeling that itch... Who is close by enough to get easily get eyes on this one for me? Of course there is beer money type compensation offered for you efforts.
I am pretty familiar with '80s turbo dodges and SWMBO cannot deny that this would be awesome for our one car, new parents scenario.
Also, what do I need to know about Ohio rebuilt titles or any other deal killing pitfalls that I am unaware of.
TIA
Oh wow. As an Ohioan who has been lusting after one of these for a long time (first car was a '92 3.3 Town and Country, as terrible as that sounds I really, REALLY miss it) I'm not sure whether I should send the email or keep holding out for one with a 5 speed. Anybody want to buy an AW11 or 12a powered '70 MGB to help make room in my stable?

Uh oh..
You're in Dayton too....
(Tell me more)

Dibs on the 12a MGB.
The MGB will be at Dayton Cars and Coffee tomorrow (or not, I traditonally miss those, but I'll try). The AW11 I've been driving to work.
Edit: I should really update my garage one of these days. I assume there's room for 5 cars in that.
I don't know how broke you are, but it's not a high dollar car. I've been debating putting some money into it, but I haven't yet. If you don't mind driving over to Dayton, you'll get a chance to see it. Alternatively shoot me an email for pics.
That is an early 'suck through' throttle body setup. This engine was never sold in this configuration by Mopar as a 2.5L
Only factory turbo vans were 89/90 and they are all the 'blow through' setup. 2.5 T1 common block engines.
No idea what kind of electronics or what else he might be running to make this work.
Clean looking van though.

He didn't say it came from the factory with a turbo.
He said he built the engine with a turbo 7 years ago.
Nice van.

an ohio rebuilt title transfers just like any other title. it means at some point, the van was totalled either via theft recovery or accident, and issued a salvage title. then it was repaired with all major components documented, inspected by the highway patrol, and issued a rebuilt title.
note, the purpose of the highway patrol inspection has nothing to do with safety or proper repairs. it only has to do with ensuring no stolen parts were used to rebuild the vehicle. receipts with vin numbers of donor parts for all major parts replaced accompany your inspection. this is why we get vehicles that are clearly offset 2" one side or the other from front to rear from hard frame damage back on the road.
Went to the C&C, but never saw the MG. A lot of other, cool cars, but not the one I went to see. Evan, if you need me to put eyes on either car, just let me know.

No, I'm broke, just wishful thinking.

Ok.
But.
If I do see it, I'll be sure to send some pictures your way...
Sorry I didn't go. It takes a lot more than looking at cars I've largely already seen to get me out of bed early on a Saturday after I've gone out drinking.

Not arguing that, but I fail to understand why one would go to that trouble and not just 'T2' it in one fashion or another.
Ya think he is running a PM/LM setup? He would almost have to be to run the early T1 stuff.
I miss my Voyager Turbo a lot. This one is cleeeeean. I would probably snap this up if it were three states closer.
In reply to ronholm:
My understanding is that the only difference between the 85 and 89 is the headlight plugs and the engine harness otherwise plugs in. I'm guessing it is running a PM/LM though. probably an early G-body harness.
