I have a bad engine from an 86 16v scirocco, the previous owner said it locked up on the highway and had oil covering the block. I couldn't see any problems from the outside but I never opened it up. The head at least should be good. I also have the trans from the car that should be fine.
Free to anyone who can use them, pickup in Ashland, OH or I can bring the head/trans down to Columbus if it is more convenient.
I'd take it if I were closer.
I'll keep you in mind if I'm ever headed that way and it's still around.
Where is Ashland in respect to Painesville/Cleveland? I have to go out there to pick up a transporter next week, I could use a 16V.
About an hour south of Cleveland on I-71
If I could get down to your area, is there a place for me to meet you? I'll be using a semi with a 53' trailer so it would have to be moving van friendly. Would probably be next wednesday evening.
