He probably bought the rail frame thinking, "Old Bugs are cheap - this will be easy!" And then he discovered how much old Bugs are selling for these days... and drank himself into stupidity.
I do have to disagree with the seller's statement "needs to be finished" Actually, just lose the bike part, stuff a fwd drivetrain back there...
A GS550 would be a four stroke. GT550 the two stroke triple.
I weld best w/ a light buzz.
That guy just makes bad decisions.

My thought exactly, could have sold the bike for $200-300, bought a $500 rusty FWD whatever(some GM with 3100 and TH125 would work well). and grafted the front of the FWD car to the back of that chassis. Sell the remnants of the donor car for scrap and you're back pretty close to 0.

Yes and yes. What a waste of a classic bike...
This seems like it could be a reject from the new Mad Max movie (just picture a guy with a hockey mask and a crossbow on the bike part)
I was thinking about this last night... If you stuck a V-Twin between the front wheels, with a driveshaft back to a single rear wheel(Goldwing?), you'd have the most awesome/cheap/redneck Morgan trike ever!
