Do any of the following sound like you?
"I want to rally but it's too expensive"
"I want to rally but navigators are annoying"
"I want to rally but roll cages are for pansies"
Well, congratulations, here's your vehicle! A fresh off the truck from Black River Stages (not even washed) 2000 DRZ400e RallyMoto Bike. It has all of the following:
-Kick and electric start (redundancy is reliability!)
-Awesome LED lights
-Trailtech Vector computer w/ handlebar controls (odo, speedo, clock, etc. Works really well as a rally computer)
-Rollchart holder, first aid kit, triangle, etc... everything you need to be rally legal
-Kenda Trakmaster tires (1 rally old) with nearly indestructible IMS ultra-heavy tubes
-Single rimlock front wheel, dual rimlock rear wheel (you can ride 15 miles on a flat rear tire, I have tested this)
-4.5 gallon Acerbis tank
-Seat concepts "tall" seat (you butt won't fall asleep on transits)
-WER steering damper (so you don't die when you land a yump all crossed up)
This has been a super reliable bike for me, but it could use some going through- at the very least, a carb rebuild and a look at the wiring is in order (it turns out that "waterproof" is not "80mph in a torrential downpour proof").
The "fresh off the truck" price for this monster? $2000, including everything you need to rally it other than your personal safety gear. Trades for rally car parts and other dual sport bikes considered.
