If someone is interested I could arrange looking over this project as I am nearbyish and always lookin for excused to go eat at Moe's in Bloomington
That is very cool, but it's (mercifully) not really a Dutton. It's really a few buts of modified Dutton bodywork with a nice 7esc chassis under it.
Dutton was the Wal-Mart of the kit car world. Cheap badly made E36 M3 that was made poorly in huge numbers and foisted on poor sods who should have known better. Dutton made many different models, most with the same basic chassis to normally take Mk I or II Escort running gear complete with leaf spring rear axle.
Look at these fine specimens for the quality of design work.
