They're wicked, they're heavy, they're overcomplicated, they're hell to work on and I sure as berkeley wouldn't trust an 800$ one. Go buy it.
That actually does not appear to be a twin turbo AWD (wrong wheels). The plain R/T was a DOHC NA FWD, only the R/T Twin Turbo had all the goodies.
Yeah, I've never seen a N/A RT myself. I knew the wheels were wrong, but it appears to have the TT aero on the b-pillar, so I was confused.
I've seen a few, always misleading. The twin turbos actually say "twin turbo" on the back unless it has been removed. Edmunds and fueleconomy.gov identify the breakdown:
Edmunds said:The Dodge Stealth ran from 1991-'96 and initially came in four trim levels: base, ES, R/T and R/T Twin Turbo. Base versions were powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 164 hp and 185 pound-feet of torque. The ES and R/T stepped up to the plate with a 24-valve DOHC version with 222 hp and 201 lb-ft of torque. The R/T Twin Turbo boasted 300 hp and 307 lb-ft. Performance of the latter was thrilling, with zero to 60 mph taking just over 5 seconds.
Dollars to donuts on NA.
Seen plenty of them, and the TT/AWD R/T is pretty darn rare. (PDR)
IJS, and YMMV.
I've seen lots of R/Ts that were nonturbo.
I think the difference was that the R/T had the DOHC engine while the non-R/T had the SOHC. Maybe. But for sure, if it doesn't have TWIN TURBO AWD plastered all over the place, it's just a Diamante with no headroom.

Yeah, this is not a twin turbo. Those cars have "TWIN TURBO" badges down the side of the doors. They made R/T's that were not turbo and they're not that rare.
Also, run! They are pretty unreliable and difficult to work on, not to mention extremely heavy.
Overcomplicated? They only had AWD, twin turbos, rear wheel steering, active aerodynamics, active mufflers and an electronically controlled suspension. What could possibly go wrong? (OK, that was the Mitsu version, but still) And I still want one.

Yep, the Jacky Ickx GT30 is a 3000GT in Gulf livery, and it's generally a podium contender.

That actually looks really good like that.
Honestly having worked on NA FWD one, it isn't that bad. The motor is pretty bullet-proof but don't buy an automatic.

I will give the 3000GT/stealth credit for being structurally overbuilt. I had a friend drive one off the side of a hill into a tree at around 60 mph and after it was winched back on the the road he immediately drove it home (2 hr trip) without issue (other than scrubbing off most of his tires due to all the bent suspension bits). I also watched the GT30 ChumpCar plow into the wall, hard, at the AMP race last month and drive back to the pits.

For sure! I was there too, in the E30 painted like a sock monkey. Not only did they hit the wall hard, but they finished on the podium the next day.
