Dunno, called him off. Reverse image search shows the car was a barn find in Germany in 2009

Sad but not too sad, I don't need more projects. I was after that one simply for the resale value. I had a healthy amount of skepticism on it already which is why I was sending someone to look at it
Yeah, I'm sorry for the false hope on that one.
I am really curious what kind of nonsense your guy was being sent into. Usually the craigslist scammers have some good excuse why you can't see the car or go silent when you want to.

No worries I'd rather chase a dream like that than nothing at all. I think his goal is to get people who want it so bad they'll paypal money to him sight unseen to hold it. I messed with him for awhile this morning promising to send money because my friend couldn't make it out today. After a few hours of back and forth I called him out and he disappeared.
But I do encourage everyone to send him lovely email messages expressing your thoughts dmarc8688@gmail.com

What was he wanting? You to wire some money to him?

Seems like that was the plan, not sure what would have happened if my buddy showed up at the house to see the car or if he called the phone number but I'm guessing neither actually belonged to the "seller"
