Haha, the New "Ford Cruising Van". Would that have non-PC connotations nowadays?
Also, I think the bumper sticker on the wagon at top says "easy does it". That would have to stay .
That would almost be a fun project, if for no other reason than to remind yourself just how bad cars were in 1978.
I think I've been on this board too long 'cause I think that car is awesome. I'll take mine with a boosted 2.3 please. Anyone know where I can find the matching van?
I'm seeing a dark to light blue paint transition with air brushed planets, stars and a half naked girl in there somewhere. El Cheapo Wal-Mart chrome slotted wheels would be period correct also.

There's actually a matching van somewhere in my area. When I stumble upon it again, I'll pass on the info.

There is a sweet Sunrise Red one on eBay now in VA. It is automatic, but that can be fixed in a weekend real easy. It is even cleaner looking than mine, and a bit earlier as well.
Dan,
Do you have any idea the awesomeness you could accomplish in life if you'd stop cruising junk car pron?
Besides, you're enabling me.

My awsomeness peaked a long time ago .....
I've seen one of those in Can-Am trim a former race car in a junk yard with all sorts of cool old racers in VT.
I just learned of a 1974 pontiac Can Am hiding in a garage, hasn't been on the street in 20 years. What's the deal on these? Looks like a luxo-barge racer wannabe so we can sell it yuppies car to me.

No, Can-Am.
Very rare, high performance personal luxury. Shaker hood, wing, the whole bit.
The Grand-Am above isn't a rebadged Laguna, it's simply another A-body GM product. The Grand-Am came with Pontiac power, not Chevy bits.
The Grand-Am is basicly what's left of the GTO family after the GTO name was stuffed on a mid-size platform.
My buddy has a '74 Grand Am 400 and it handles and drives very nicely.
