I can't remember the last time I saw one of those in any condition. I could get $3300 worth of fun out of that.
I keep almost wanting those because when I was in high school, my best friend and I talked ourselves pretty close to each trying to buy one.
In retrospect, I'm not sure how that was going to work. I did have a job, but part time. I guess living at home it might have roughly penciled out, but it was a terrible idea.
In any case, it's still amusing the idea of driving what I would have had back then. Of course, now I'd actually get to drive it. Back then, I probably wouldn't have had any money left for gas...
My wife had one and LOVED it. Bought for $800, drove it for a couple years, sold for $1400. Every bit as nice as this one, but with double the miles. It was a fun little car, albeit an ear-bleeder at 80mph.
Awesome.
My best friend in college bought an '89 in Black/tan as a brand new car when he graduated. It really was an awesome car.

I see them once in awhile around here, but never in that condition... more often with most of the rear quarter panels resembling Swiss cheese, at least one other body panel in an opposing color and one head light stuck open (or closed).
Ian, I think you just described my friend's old Integra. Red with a blue door, and eventually terminal rust. I just sent them a link to the ad.
I thought this was going to be the total time capsule Integra I saw on advrider that the owner wants 9 grand for, but I didn't realize that's a second gen Integra.
I've never had great luck with old cars with low miles. I'd be willing to give this one a shot at changing my mind though. Wish I had a spot in the fleet for it.
Too bad 1st gen integra parts have all but dried up. whatever you do, don't get into a minor collision. the repair parts are gone.
I had an '88 from new and other than the model year differences, it was that car's twin. Man, I miss that car!
My friend's dad had one back when it was new. We thought it was so cool. Why buy new cars when all this good stuff is out there?
Hey Poop, you anywhere near this car? Would you be willing to go take a look at it? Send my friend the link and they are curious, but have gotten burned on long distance deals before.
